Derya has been with the Muslim Voices since summer 2019. She is also one of the Interfaith America co-project leaders and runs the Muslim Voices Instagram account. She is a double-major Ph.D. candidate in Education Policy Studies and Middle Eastern Languages & Cultures. In her research she focuses on contemporary times of Islamic education through the lens of comparative religious K-12 and international Islamic universities. She is considering a third-degree to her Ph.D.; studies in Coffeeology!
Rachel Tagoulla
Interfaith America Program Assistant
Rachel Tagoulla is a 3rd year PhD student in the department of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures at Indiana University. She is a founder and treasurer of Muslim Women at IU and president of Al-Eidaan student organizations. She is also president of the Women’s Committee of the Islamic Center of Bloomington. She is currently the Interfaith America Program Assistant for Muslim Voices in the Center for the Study of the Middle East and Center for the Study of Global Change.
